Building girls’ confidence: It’s what we do.
Girls on the Run is a joyful, research-based program for girls in grades 3 to 8 that blends movement with confidence-building lessons. Through fun activities, meaningful conversations, and goal setting, girls build the skills they need to thrive.
Backed by compelling research, Girls on the Run is one of the only youth development programs that demonstrate participants gain valuable life skills and, more importantly, apply them in other areas of their lives. At a time when girls face increasing social pressures and challenges, girl-centered programs like this are more critical than ever.
Through fun activities and meaningful conversations, girls build confidence and important life skills. They learn how to manage emotions, resolve conflict, stand up for themselves and others, and embrace what makes them unique.
The season culminates in a celebratory 5K Celebration where every girl crosses the finish line at her happy pace. It is powerful. It is emotional. And it is a moment that reminds every participant just how capable she truly is.

Find a Team
Registration is now open, and our season begins the week of April 6th. Teams meet twice a week either right after school or on the weekends, for 90 minutes. Space is limited and teams fill on a first-come, first-served basis.
Families can find a full list of participating teams by visiting our website: www.girlsontherunhv.org/our-location.
There you will see available schools, practice days, and registration details.
If you do not see a team at your girl’s school or in your neighborhood, you can help bring Girls on the Run to your community. Contact our Program Coordinator, [email protected] for more information.

Be Part of Her Journey
Moms, this season is for you too.
Girls on the Run is powered by incredible volunteer coaches — many of whom are moms who wanted to make a difference not just for their own girl, but for girls across their community.
You do not have to be a runner. You do not have to be an expert. You simply have to care.
Our National Coach Training prepares you with everything you need to lead a team with confidence and heart. As a coach, you will build meaningful relationships, grow your leadership skills, and create a place of belonging for girls during some of their most formative years.
And yes — coaching might just be as transformative for you as it is for the girls.
The excitement is building. Spring will be here before we know it. If you have been thinking about signing your girl up, this is your moment. Imagine her building friendships that last beyond the season. Imagine her discovering her voice. Imagine her standing at the starting line of the 5K feeling strong and supported.
Now imagine her crossing that finish line with arms raised and a smile that says I did it.
Let’s make this the season she discovers just how unstoppable she truly is.
