We recently visited The Academy of Skin and Beauty, and it was such a treat! This awesome place was founded by the incredibly talented NY state Licensed Esthetician Jackie David. Jackie, a Rye Brook mother of two, had an impressive 17-year career as an esthetician in New York City before making her dream of owning her own school come true. When we arrived at the Academy of Skin and Beauty, we were welcomed not only by the friendly staff but also by the charming Teddy, Jackie’s 6-year-old Australian Labradoodle, who has become the beloved mascot. The Academy’s inception in 2022 couldn’t have been timelier, with all the career shifts happening post-COVID. Many people were looking to follow their passions, and the Academy of Skin and Beauty provided the perfect platform for those who aspired to become professional estheticians. Notably, a considerable number of the academy’s students are in their 30s and 40s, bringing life experience and dedication to their training.

The spa is designed to provide a high-quality and relaxing experience at an affordable price. All services are provided by senior students and supervised by a licensed instructor.
